Dockyard established since 1992. At first, it was in Samkhoke District, Prathum Thani Province. The first ship that built was a 32-meter-long cargo ship. After selling the first ship, the dockyard was accepted by many sailing companies that made the dockyard got many customers. The dockyard was said to be the excellent dockyard with the good standard quality products, fast service and acceptable price. There were different kind of ships that the dockyard built; express boat, ferry, cruising ship, cargo ship, pontoon, tugboat etc.

The dockyard encountered the area’s size problems which could not support the rising amounts of customers. Then, in 2007,  the executive managers decided to move to Sanamchai sub district, Bangsai district in Pranakorn Sri Ayuthaya province where was 60- kilometer-far from Bangkok with 14 rai area on the bank of Chaopraya River. The two-year-built was the most quality dockyard with slip ways in transportation convenience for bringing the ship evading up and down which is easy to manage the area’s using with the counterpoise which can bear a ship up to 500,000 kilograms (500 metric ton) ship. Ratana Mongkol Dockyard is the first dockyard in the same area which received the factory license. Nowadays, the dockyard can build 2500-metric ton-weight cargo ship for more than 20 ships per year. The dockyard contracts for building and painted ships   for public and private companies.
